The first National Transfer Seminar in Bulgaria took place in the city of Sofia on the 29th January 2014.



The first National Transfer Seminar in Bulgaria took place in the city of Sofia on the 29th January 2014. There were 30 participants, representing the following organisations:
  • Municipalities of Sofia, Varna, Dobrich, Ruse, Montana, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Pleven, Stara Zagora, Haskovo and Pazardjik (11 transfer regions).
  • Ministry of Economy and Energy -Tourism department;
  • Bulgarian Railway Company
  • Sofia Mobility centre
  • Tourist Agencies and touroperators;
  • Bulgarian Association of Hotel and Restaurant owners
  • Bulgaria Association of Tourism Agencies
  • Council for tourism education in Sofia University; Economic University
The event started in the Conference hall of the "Hemus Hotel" in Sofia with a cocktail. There were 2 lecturers – Prof. Lucia Ilieva and Mr. Veselin Grozdanov. Prof. Ilieva presented gave two presentations: one describing the aims, objectives and general implementations in SEEMORE, and another focussing more on the implemented measures in the target region of Dobrich (Bulgaria). On the other hand, Mr. Grozdanov presented the achieved results, providing examples and showing on graphs how the situation has improved. All participants received SEEMORE advertising materials and readers. Moreover, participants filled in questionnaires, which were disseminated via internet. They will provide a valuable feedback and help to improve the implementation of the project. Journalists from the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA) and the National Agency Focus covered the event and published the celebration of the seminar in several media channels.
